South Whidbey – Tuesday October 25, 2011
We had 81 species probably because the weather was so nice.  The most unusual site was of a Turkey Vulture on the ground with crows at Fort Casey.  People with cameras were able to get great close-up photos.  We also saw a lot of Pacific Loons, easily ID’d with their gray heads.

Birch Bay/Semiahmoo/Drayton Harbor – Tuesday November 8, 2011
The birds of the day were definitely the Snow Buntings at Blaine Harbor. They didn't seem bothered by all of us looking at them as they moved around the road, grass and rocks. Everybody was able to get a good sighting. Some birders also had a great view of  Long-Tailed Ducks as they were really close to the dock.  The Dunlin were all over the place in huge flocks. We did find a couple of sanderlings mixed in with them.
