Stevens Pass – Tuesday, July 17, 2012
This was a good day for finding the warblers.  As always, we enjoy watching the Gray Jays and were surprised that they did not join us for lunch.  We were able to go on all but one of our planned roads due to some blasting that was being done on the road.  Hearing the fox sparrow singing it summer song was a treat.

Blue Stilli Park and Virginia’s Neighborhood – Tuesday, July 24, 2012
At Portage Creek a few of us lucky ones got to see an American Bittern fly in front of us.  Another few got to see the pair of bullock’s Orioles.  Yellowthroats and Marshwrens were abundant.  At Blue Stilli Park we were finding many birds including the Anna”s hummingbird, warblers, woodpeckers, creeper and sapsuckers.  The best part of the day was the wonderful lunch prepared by Virginia.
