We enjoyed seeing the Pygmy Nuthatches at the Northern Pacific Ponds.  We were hearing Veery’s on the Taneum Road and had an excellent view of one at the Taneum Picnic area.  Umtanum Canyon was great.  We heard a Canyon Wren calling, saw several Chats and Lazuli Buntings, and everybody was impressed with the nest of Prairie Falcons on the rock cliff.

FINCHES, WEAVER FINCH: Cassin's Finch(1), Pine Siskin(27),  American Goldfinch(17), Evening Grosbeak(6), House Sparrow(1)

 Mid-Whidbey – Tuesday June 25, 2013

We had a great view of an Orange-crowned Warbler with a orange crown showing.   House wrens were singing at Fort Casey State park.  We enjoyed seeing the Purple Martins at Crocket Lake and the large number of Caspian terns were impressive.                                             Virginia, Wilma, Merilee, Joe, Kathleen, John, Margaret P.
