South Whidbey – Tuesday, April 14, 2015
We saw our first Osprey’s and Western Sandpipers of the year today.  It was a surprise to see the Greater White-fronted Geese at Crocket Lake.  We enjoyed watching the Snipe interact at the lake also.  We did see a Whimbrel at Sunlight Beach.  The Dunlin and Plovers were in breeding plumage as were the Horned Grebes so were they easy to identify.  We had a pied-billed Grebe sitting on a nest on Ewing Road.

 Cle Elum – Tuesday, May 12, 2005
The day started off with lots of rain and we were worried that we were not going to see many birds.  After lunch the weather cleared and the birds became active.  Good sightings include seeing Calliope Hummingbirds, both the Mountain and Western Bluebirds, the Vesper Sparrow and the Red-naped Sapsucker.  We saw a good number of the warblers, but most were found in the rain and were difficult to find. E enjoyed watching the Says, Phoebe flicking its black tail.
