 Deception Pass – Tuesday, August 23, 2016
The bird of the day would be seeing the family of California Quail and the alcids at Rosario Beach.  We were also finding Nuthatches and Crossbills-probably due to the large numbers of cones on fir trees this year.  Though not bird related, we were all watching a huge grouping of logs being taken through Deception Pass by three tug boats.  We were watching them at Bowman Bay, then at North Beach as the logs entered the bridge area and then we went to Cornet bay and saw them once they went through the pass.
