We enjoyed the walk through the woods from the Pt. Whitehorn Road as several had never been on that trail before and some had not walked to the end of the trail.  We had a Pileated Woodpecker on the trail and we listened to an osprey calling during the walk.

We first went to Crocket Lake and and that was our best birding spot for the day.  Our bird of the day was seeing both a Pacific Golden Plover and after research on photos learned the other was a American Golden Plover.  We spent a lot of time watching them and finding more shorebirds in the same area.
