Marysville Library Program: Making Your Yard a Bird Haven

Making Your Yard a Bird Haven

Learn how to be a hero to wild birds by landscaping your yard, patio, or community space in a way that offers resources for both migratory and residential birds. Your outdoor space will be just as beautiful, if not more so, than a traditional lawn or yard. In this presentation, you’ll discover what birds need to thrive, how to provide those resources to attract them, and how to keep those birds safe.

Brian Zinke is the Executive Director of the Pilchuck Audubon Society, which represents Snohomish County and Camano Island. His background as a wildlife biologist has taken him across several states where he's worked to conserve endangered species and species of concern. He is passionate about science and conservation, and enjoys hiking, backpacking, photography – and birding – in his free time.
