It was another beautiful day, and the group saw or heard most of our spring migrants at several stops around Carnation and at Crescent Lake WMA. Everyone was thrilled with excellent looks at Olive-sided Flycatcher, Wilson’s Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Townsend’s Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Warbling Vireo, Rufous Hummingbird, Cedar Waxwing, Black-headed Grosbeak, Tree Swallow, Violet-green Swallow, Western Tanager, Lazuli Bunting and Bullock’s Oriole. We also heard Western Wood-Pewee, Willow Flycatcher and Swainson’s Thrush. Add in Wood Duck chicks, Osprey, Red-breasted Sapsucker and American Dipper, and all went home happy.
