Tulalip Bay provided a great start to our day with Great Egret, Ruddy and Black Turnstone, Black-bellied Plover, Short-billed Dowitcher and one very entertaining Merlin. Jennings Park was quiet, except for many Bushtit and a California Scrub Jay calling as we left. Harborview Park proved more interesting, highlighted by numerous Killdeer and a migrant flock that included Warbling Vireo, Orange-crowned and Wilson’s Warbler, Swainson’s Thrush and Cedar Waxwing. Hooded Merganser, Ruddy Duck and Cinnamon Teal were among many ducks at the Marysville Treatment Plant. We ended the day at north Smith Island watching a Peregrine Falcon pair and finding an Eared Grebe in the Everett Sewage Lagoons main pond.
