Chilly conditions did not deter 15 intrepid birders from birding at Spencer Island, the Everett Sewage Lagoons and the Ebey Waterfront Trail. Teri and Jeff spotted a Tufted Duck x Scaup hybrid in the north sewage lagoon. A Peregrine Falcon (Peale’s), Northern Harriers, and a pair of Long-billed Dowitchers also were seen among the expected ducks, raptors and shorebirds. Alas, no Common Redpolls.
