Vaux’s Swifts (pronounced voxes) migrate through western Washington every spring and fall, stopping at roost sites each night. One of those roosts happens to be atop a building in Monroe! Come learn about the swifts, the history of the Monroe roost, and our ongoing swift community science project.
Brian Zinke is the Executive Director of the Pilchuck Audubon Society, which serves Snohomish County and Camano Island. His background as a wildlife biologist has taken him across several states where he's worked to conserve endangered species and species of concern. He is passionate about science and conservation, and enjoys hiking, backpacking, photography – and birding – in his free time.
