We picked a perfect spring day for resumption of our annual picnic at the Big Four picnic area on Mountain Loop Highway. About 34 people ate hot dogs, sausages, and numerous salads and desserts. Among birds observed were a rare American Redstart, Yellow and MacGillivray’s Warblers, Cassin’s and Warbling Vireos, Western Tanager and American Dipper.
