Kudos to our intrepid birders who persisted through ongoing rain showers at Barnum Point, Iverson Point and Elger Bay Preserves. Barnum Point especially was still productive with sightings that included Barred Owl, Brown Creeper, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher, Western Wood-Pewee, Orange-crowned Warbler, Hutton’s Vireo, Bald Eagle and Common Loon. At Iverson Point, we added Caspian Tern, Purple Martin and baby Norther Flicker, among others. New species at Elger Bay were Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Pied-billed Grebe and Wilson’s Warbler.
