Meet at 6:00 AM at the Monroe Park & Ride at 17433 Hwy 2, west of the Evergreen Fairgrounds OR meet the group at 8:30 AM in Leavenworth at Sleeping Lady Resort, 7375 Icicle Road.  Please contact the trip leaders if you plan to meet the group at Sleeping Lady. At either location, please come prepared to carpool – the number of cars impacts safety and where we are able to stop for birding, and also we want to be environmentally conscious.  Birding stops on this trip include Sleeping Lady Resort, the National Fish Hatchery, and Camas Meadows. Our target birds include White-headed Woodpecker, Yellow-breasted Chat and Calliope Hummingbird. Some birders are planning to carpool to Leavenworth, then stay there overnight after the field trip, and return to the Puget Sound the next day, May 28. (This timing helps avoid rush-hour traffic when returning home.) Dress for the weather and pack a lunch.
