Birding: Union Bay Natural Area

Photo: Spotted Sandpiper by Mick Thompson

Meet at 8:00 AM in lot E16 at the Center for Urban Horticulture.

Join David at this legendary hotspot, where we will look for the waterfowl and passerines that are returning to winter. If you haven't experienced UNBA (formerly Montlake Fill), you owe it to yourself! Expect to walk about 1.5 miles on gravel walkways, through weedy fields, ponds, wetlands, and young forest. And there's always the possibility of a surprise at this hotspot!

After you have submitted your 2024 Field Trip Liability Release online, please contact the trip leader, in order to register for the trip.
